The "Meraki" Collection was inspired by the desire to be more courageous with my creativity and push the boundaries in small format and with multiple pieces in one collection, instead of individual paintings.

All 12 pieces have a very similar strong colour story but without each being the exact same. Every 4 pieces, I changed the colour story up, however, even within each of the 4-bundled pieces, each piece have their own identity. This I find fascinating - despite using the same materials on each 4-piece bundle - and also across the entire whole 12-piece collection - each 12"x12" painting looks unique and has its won essence and radiance.

I started each piece by setting my intention for it - which is a big part of my process. I don't have an outcome in mind, when I start, but I inject my energy right from the get-go. That's the magical and somewhat mystical part of intuition itself. I let it guide me throughout, connect with my creativity and let it work through me. It truly is a process of "Meraki" - which is greek and means "to put something of yourself into your work. Soul. Creativity. Love." That's why I named this collection after this true expression of putting myself into my paintings. It is the exact nature of how I paint and how I've created this 12-piece body of work.
